As teased last month during D23, Disney Dreamlight Valley has released the first official trailer for its next upcoming expansion, The Keepsake Sea. We also have a release date! Or month, at least. The Keepsake Sea will launch this November.
The Keepsake Sea is an ocean and pirate-themed expansion to the Disney life sim. The trailer confirms new characters Jack Sparrow (Pirates of the Caribbean), Milo (Atlantis), and Megara (Disney’s Hercules). Most expansions have added five new characters, and always include one major Disney villain as the antagonist.
Does Captain Jack count as a villain? Will we finally see Captain Hook’s arrival after Peter Pan and Tinkerbell?
Shout out to Hercules, who did not have to wait long to get his partner in the game, even if she’s gated in an expansion.
Aside from new Valley villagers, Keepsake Sea also adds a full underwater biome to explore and decorate.
And we get there by transforming into mermaids! Which looks like it requires making a deal with Ursula.
Worth it!
It looks like other villagers can explore under the sea with their own personal submersibles. Ah, and here we were hoping to see mermaid-ified versions of each character.

Gameloft released a smaller expansion, dubbed an Adventure Pack, earlier this year with Honeyglow Woods, adding characters from Winnie the Pooh, and a themed region around the Hundred Acre Woods. The last major expansion for Dreamlight Valley was last November’s Wishblossom Ranch, which added horses and horse-riding.
Disney Dreamlight Valley is available on PC (Steam, Epic), PlayStation, Switch, Switch 2, and Xbox, and rated E for Everyone.
