During the Future Games Show Summer Showcase, Pawprint Studio revealed a new trailer for open world creature collector, Aniimo, along with a release date window. The closed beta test for Aniimo will arrive this summer on PC and mobile platforms, with the full release hitting later this year in Q3 2026 (probably around September), on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.

Interested players can still sign up for the closed beta at Aniimo.com. To sign up, you must fill out the questionnaire. Filling out the questionnaire does not guarantee a spot. The official start and stop time of the closed beta test has not yet been announced.

Make sure to review the system specs on PC –

aniimo closed beta testAniimo is a free-to-play, open world creature collector set in the world of Idyll. Players can find and collect the magical Aniimo creatures that inhabit the world, then merge with them by Twining. With Twining, players essentially transform into that Aniimo, and explore, battle, and solve puzzles as that creature.

The trailer also reveals the new water themed region, the Island of Peace, the customizable Homeland and the players’ RV mobile home, and new Aniimo and Aniimo forms. Players can also exchange Aniimo, purchase decorations and accessories at in-game stores, and engage in PvP and co-op missions.

I would expect a lot more marketing, trailers, and information to drop this summer as well. As a next-gen-looking, free-to-play creature collector, Aniimo has the potential to be absolutely huge. Can Aniimo reach the same ridiculous levels of popularity as a Palworld or Genshin Impact? And will Nintendo drop a lawsuit? We’ll find out later this year!

Closed beta for Aniimo will start soon, with full launch releasing Q3 2026.
