Seed Sparkle Lab has revealed the release date, and the price, for their debut anime-inspired life sim, Starsand Island. Starsand Island will release via Steam Early Access on February 11 ($27.93). The Early Access price is 30% off the full game price.
That’s a slight delay from the original Feb 1 release. Also, it’s apparently launching in Early Access first, with the full release coming later this Summer.
The Standard Edition includes the Chinese New Year Furniture Set, and Neo-Chinese Outfit. There’s also a Deluxe Edition ($41.93) that includes the Classical Furniture Set, Elegant Formal Outfit, and Pumpkin Carriage.
The Early Access version remains single-player only, expanding on the content available in the free demo. A full four-season weather system has been added, with each change bringing different seasonal activities and scenery. Players can explore the Moonlit Forest, including multiple camps and bosses, and use the new bow weapon with different arrow types.
All profession paths have been expanded, with multiple tiers. Professions include farming, crafting, ranching, and fishing, with nearly 100 crops, 10 new ranching species, and advanced machines and tools to automate and streamline labor.
Players can also unlock all nine subplots for their homestead, along with three new environments and over 300 pieces of furniture and decorative items. And don’t forget one of the game’s most intriguing features: mounts and vehicles! The Early Access version will include over 40 rideable modes of transportation, including over a dozen animal mounts, as well as craftable vehicles.
Starsand Island also cares about the fully voiced NPCs that populate the island. Early Access features 15 fully interactable NPCs, including four new companions.
Starsand Island is a 3D farm and life sim with an anime-inspired art style. Like many life sims, it’s set on an idyllic island paradise. Players can customize their avatar and their home, craft items and furniture, explore dungeon-like areas with monsters, and interact with townsfolk.
The full release of Starsand Island (which will include multiplayer, and NPC romance) is due later this Summer. In addition to PC, the full release will launch on PlayStation 5, Switch 2, and Xbox Series X/S.
