Patience is a virtue for PC gamers, as one of PlayStation’s best games of 2024, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, is out now on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store). The critically acclaimed and best-selling RPG arrives with enhanced visual features, as well as official support for the PlayStation 5 Pro.
Here’s the total list of improvements with the new enhanced version:
- Improved lighting
- 4K resolution and 120 FPS (for supporting PCs)
- Greater polygon and texture density via optional settings.
- DualSense controller support, just like the PS5 version.
- NVIDIA DLSS for upscaled image quality and enhanced framerates.
- Variable refresh rate (VRR) for smoother gameplay with compatible hardware.
- Full control rebinding, and mouse and keyboard support.
Players can customize controls between world exploration and combat or mini-games to better suit their needs. Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is also Steam Deck Verified.
To celebrate the launch, the art team at Square Enix, led by Creative Director Tetsuya Nomura, revealed new artwork featuring the main cast.
The PC version also incldues the Posh Chocobo Summoning Materia. In addition to a standard edition, a Digital Deluxe Edition includes a soundtrack, artbook, and more DLC items. A Twin Pack is also available, which includes Rebirth and well as Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth continues the multi-game remake of one of the best RPGs of all time. Heroes Cloud, Tifa, Aerith, and the rest leave the city of Midgar and into the wider world beyond to hunt down Sephiroth, and make new allies along the way.
