Paradox Interactive and in-house developer Paradox Tectonic have delayed the early access release of Life By You. The new tentative early access launch is June 4 on PC (Steam, Epic).

Paradox Tectonic General Manager Rod Humble released a video message (above), as well as a detailed blog post.

Our decision to move the start of Early Access is rooted in our commitment to creating a fun game and an enjoyable player experience, right from the start of our Early Access. We are just as excited as the rest of the community for the game’s release. As such, we want to ensure that it’s as smooth and fun for you as possible, and lays a strong foundation for building out Life by You during Early Access.

The delay is due to feedback from early players and testers, and include bugs, performance, character art, and “gameplay refinements.”

Paradox is now pivoting away from pre-order incentives, instead giving anyone who joins the Early Access game the Life Begins pack and Nightlife Vibes pack. Players who sign up for the email list can gain access to the official Discord server. After the game launches, players who have purchased the game can get an invite to the Discord server.

Life By You is a life sim game directly inspired by the juggernaut of the genre, The Sims. It features a fully open world that can be designed from the ground up, including all the people, and everyone can be directly controlled in third-person mode.

The June 4 delay is technically the second, after the initial delay from September 2023.
