The Sims 4 is going west with the Horse Ranch Expansion Pack, releasing July 20 ($39.99) on PC (Win, Mac, Steam, EGS), PlayStation, and Xbox.

The Horse Ranch Expansion Pack adds horses (as well as mini goats and sheep) in the new town location of Chestnut Ridge.

Chestnut Ridge is inspired by the classic American West, with plenty of room for farms, ranches, and barnyard ho-downs.

In addition to purchasing or rescuing horses, horses can also be customized in Create a Sim, or born right right on your ranch, where they inherit traits from their parents.

Horses have their own personalities, as well as four skills, including agility, jumping, and endurance. At the equestrian center, horses and riders can compete to win prizes in the Ultimate Horse Championship. Or saddle up for a stroll through town.

Horse Ranch Expansion Pack also features special inclusion of Native American culture, with the help of collaborator Stacey Parshall Jensen. As part of the launch, The Sims team is making a donation to Sacred Healing Circle, a non-profit organization founded and led by Indigenous People.

Fans who purchase Horse Ranch Expansion Pack between now and August 31 will receive a guitar, wagon wheel art, and rustic rocking chair in-game items.

The Sims 4 is out July 20th. It’s rated T for Teen.
