Electronic Arts and Maxis have announced The Sims 4 Snowy Escape expansion pack, coming to PC and Mac (Origin, Steam), PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on November 13, for $39.99.

Snowy Escape adds the mountainous, Japanese-inspired area of Mt. Komorebi. Mt Komorebi is the first Sims 4 world to add both residential homes and rental lots for Sims looking for a dream vacation. The world includes three new neighborhoods to choose from. Sims can enjoy a variety of winter activities and sports, including hiking trails, not springs, skiing, and snowboarding.

The expansion also adds over 130 clothes and accessories to keep your Sims warm and stylish, including active wear, modern, and traditional Japanese fashion. You’ll also find plenty of Japanese-themed furniture and decor, including shoji doors and screens, paper lanterns, rock gardens, and koi ponds.

Sims’ personalities will also be expanded with new Lifestyles and Sentiments. Up to 16 Lifestyles can develop from a Sim’s actions and habits, which significantly alter their behavior more than their created traits. Sentiments reflect how Sims can feel differently after a shared experience, affecting their relationship with each other and future social interactions.

Snowy Escape will be the 10th major expansion  for The Sims 4, which originally launched in 2014. The Sims 4 Snow Escape will release on November 13 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. The Sims 4 is rated T for Teen.
