Arena fighting game Brawlhalla is often described as the indie version of Super Smash Bros, in a free-to-play model. Brawlhalla has been around since 2017 on PC and consoles, was acquired by Ubisoft in 2018, and makes its debut on iOS and Android mobile devices today.

Brawlhalla features cross-play multiplayer between PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, iOS, and Android. To celebrate the mobile launch, everyone who plays in the next two weeks can get the Bear’dvar skin for free.

Brawlhalla includes 50 playable fighters, including a variety of crossover characters such as Ben 10, Lara Croft, and even the WWE. Up to eight players can join in online ranked matches, casual free for all, custom matches, or local multiplayer mayhem.

The fighting game may play like Smash Bros, but the paywall is closer to a MOBA, with free hero rotations that can be purchased, along with numerous skins for each fighter.

Recently the free-to-play fighting game added a purchasable, seasonal Battle Pass. Like other Battle Passes, it unlocks cosmetic goodies as you play. The first season, which began in May (and should be ending soon), includes 85 tiers of unlockable cosmetic content. Battle Passes also include daily, weekly, and general missions to earn rewards and battle gems.

Brawlhalla is available on PC, consoles, and mobile devices. It’s rated E10+.
