Pikmin 3 is the latest Wii U game to get the Switch port treatment. Nintendo announced that Pikmin 3 Deluxe will release on Switch on October 30 in physical and digital versions.

In the Pikmin series, Captain Olimar crash lands on an alien planet filled with helpful plant-like creatures called pikmin. Different colored pikmin excel at different tasks, such as breathing underwater or flying. You’ll need to use little armies of pikmin to solve puzzles and overcome challenges.

Pikmin 3 Deluxe expands the local cooperative multiplayer support. The entire Story mode can now be played in co-op with a friend, as well as side-story missions and DLC stages. Other new features include lock-on targeting, optional hints, and new difficulty options, including an easier casual difficulty. Pikmin 3 Deluxe also adds new side-story missions designed for co-op, as well as the return of head-to-head matches via Bingo Battle mode.

“Pikmin 3 Deluxe brings this classic franchise to life on Nintendo Switch, introducing a new audience to its beloved characters and gameplay, while also welcoming back returning players with new challenges,” said Nick Chavez, Nintendo of America Senior VP. “With Pikmin 3 Deluxe, the Nintendo Switch library of software continues to grow with a variety of games for everyone to discover and enjoy.”

Pikmin 3 Deluxe will be available October 30 exclusively on Switch. It’s rated E10+.
