“I am thrilled that Kingdom Hearts 3 is now officially out,” said Tetsuya Nomura, game director. “There are many mysteries in the story, so players will want to take their time so that they don’t miss anything. The adventure lies within the journey, and not just the destination. This story marks one of the greatest experiences Sora will have with his friends, so I hope that the players enjoy it. To all of our fans around the world, thank you for eagerly awaiting this day.”

Kingdom Hearts 3 reunites young Keyblade wielder Sora with compatriots Donald and Goofy. The trio must journey through iconic Disney and Pixar realms, such as Toy Story, Frozen, and Tangled, meeting famous characters and fighting off the forces of the Heartless.

Several voice actors reprise their roles in the game, such as Zachary Levi as Flynn Ryder in Tangled, and nearly the entire cast of Frozen. The opening theme song, “Face my Fears,” is performed by Grammy Award winner Skrillex in collaboration with singer-songwriter Hikaru Utada.

The Kingdom Hearts series is famous for including half a dozen spin-off games over the last decade. But fans have been waiting a long time for the next main title. Kingdom Hearts 2 released back in 2005 on the PlayStation 2.

Kingdom Hearts 3 is rated E10+ for Alcohol Reference and Fantasy Violence. It’s available now on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
