The Sims 4 Cats & Dogs expansion is coming November 10 and will add furry friends to the best-selling series. This week Maxis and Electronic Arts are showing off the Create-a-Pet feature with a new trailer.

Create-a-Pet existed in The Sims 3 Pets expansion, but Maxis is hoping to improve upon it by making it much more accessible and user-friendly.

The new Create-a-Pet is modeled after The Sims 4’s own Create-a-Sim, letting you click and drag on various body parts. You can paint directly on the coat without having to use Photoshop-style layers. Stencils will help you make certain patterns.

The tool comes with every dog and cat breed built in, and fully searchable. You can also select any two breeds and randomize them together, the customize the new breed from there.

The Create-a-Pet goes one step further and lets you dress up your pets in a variety of costumes and accessories, including sharks and tacos.

Each pet is given a set of traits that determines their personality. Traits includes playful, friendly, mischievous, and skittish.

The Sims 4 Cats & Dogs is the fourth expansion for The Sims 4, which launched way back in 2014. It’s available on PC and Mac, but also coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on November 17.

You can currently grab The Sims 4 and the three previous expansion packs for 50% off – $19.99 each. The Vampires Game Pack is 25% off ($14.99) while the Spooky Stuff pack is 50% off ($4.99). The sale ends October 17.

The Sims 4 is rated T for Teen for Crude Humor, Sexual Themes, and Violence.
