Last week 11 Bit Studios and developer Dead Mage released the animal-themed Paws and Claws DLC for Children of Morta, a pixelated action-RPG that released last year on PC and consoles. One hundred percent of the sales of the DLC go to the Humane Society International. After only one week, sales of the DLC raised over $50,000.

To celebrate the fundraiser, as well as the one year anniversary of the base game’s launch, 11 Bit Studios is hosting a fundraising campaign on Twitch with several content creators. The streaming fundraiser will run from today through Sept. 13.

The Paws and Claws DLC ($3.99) adds new animal mechanics. Animals such as deer and fox will visit the Bergson family’s house, where they can stay in the new animal shelter room. You can feed and care for animals to receive special bonuses and enjoy over 100 new animations.

Children of Morta is a cooperative roguelike action-RPG starring a single family. The Bergsons are imbued with special powers and focus on different playstyles. Their task is to defend the randomly generated dungeon of Mount Morta from the evil Corruption.

Children of Morta, and the Paws and Claws DLC, are available on PC (Steam, GoG), PlayStation 4, Switch, and Xbox One. It’s rated T for Teen with Blood, Mild Language, and Violence.
