Crinkle Cut Games and publisher Snapbreak have released last year’s charming shop sim, Discounty, on iOS and Android mobile devices.

Discounty is a shopkeeper simulator with cute pixel art style. Players design and run their own supermarket store in the small, rundown town of Blomkest. You can customize and organize the shop, stock shelves, check out customers, and strike deals for new goods.

The shop sim also takes a page from life sims with a deep story and a town full of characters to interact with. The meaty campaign should take players over 20 hours as they work with the locals to help restore the town.

Recently, the developers released the “People or Profit?” expansion. Well, they’re calling it an expansion, but it’s also totally free! The version 1.2 free content update adds a fourth and final new chapter to the end of the game, including a branching questline with multiple endings that determine the fate of Blomkest.

The expansion update also adds three new characters, advanced gadgets (like self-checkout), and randomized shop events. Oh, and you can finally move out of your Aunt’s old trailer, and into a proper home. Living the dream!

In addition to mobile platforms, Discounty is also available on Steam. It’s rated E for Everyone.
