Code Ninjas, the kid-centric coding franchise, has earned the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) Seal, making the organization the first, and currently only, kids STEM program recipient.

Code Ninjas continues to find success around North America, opening more than 20 new locations in the first half of 2026. Demand for technology-literate youth continues to grow, especially as more kids and teens have already begun using AI as they explore technology.

“AI hasn’t made coding education less important. It has raised the stakes,” said Navin Gurnaney, CEO of Code Ninjas. “Parents want their children to understand how technology works, question what it produces and use it to create, not simply consume. That urgency is also resonating with entrepreneurs who see an opportunity to meet a growing need in their communities while building a business with lasting relevance. Our focus is on giving students a future-ready curriculum and franchisees the support and resources to deliver it successfully.”

Founded in 2016, Code Ninjas is a franchise designed to teach coding and technology skills to kids ages 5-14 through in-person learning. Kids learn with a gamified curriculum as they design video games through coding, robotics, and AI. The proprietary IMPACT curriculum has been accredited by the International Society for Technology in Education.

The ISTE is a nonprofit organization that empowers educators to redesign learning and education through meaningful technology use. The ISTE provides learning courses, consulting services, tech events, and accreditation.
