Indie team Little Chicken Game Company and XSEED Games have announced that Moonlight Peaks has sold over 200,000 copies since its release in early July. The witchy-themed farm and life sim is available on Steam PC, Switch, Switch 2, and Android mobile devices.
Moonlight Peaks is a Stardew Valley-inspired life sim, with a supernatural twist. Players take on the role of a young vampire in a magical town full of witches, mermaids, werewolves, and more.
And yes, they are very romanceable! Judging from the Steam page, there are over 20 dateable NPCs.
Taking over the family cottage, players can customize and decorate their homestead while growing and selling crops.
Given their aversion to sun, farming doesn’t seem like a suitable money-making venture for a creature of the night, but what do I know! That being said, a reverse life sim where you have to be in bed (in coffin?) before the sun comes up is pretty clever.
Deal with ancient families, unlock shapeshifting, spellcasting, and potion brewing to help increase your yields and powers, and restore the town of Moonlight Peaks to its proper glory.
Moonlight Peaks is available in standard and a Digital Deluxe Edition ($44.97). The Deluxe Edition includes a digital art book and soundtrack.
A free demo is available on Steam, which includes character creation, crafting, mini-games, and more.
Moonlight Peaks is rated T for Teen with Suggestive Themes and Use of Alcohol.
