Dinosaur-themed farm sim Paleo Pines just received its biggest update from indie developer Italic Pig on Steam. The free update comes courtesy of the Player’s Choice Kickstarter that raised funds last year to add more content to the cozy game. It’s the second and final update from the Kickstarter campaign.

The update makes collecting different dinosaur color patterns much easier thanks to the skin tracker. Using the skin tracker in the journal, players can track a specific color pattern and combination. And speaking of collecting, Mari’s records and have been updated to include a search box and rarity filtering.

Lots of helpful new farming features have arrived, including saddlebags for large and small dinosaurs. Plus, small dinosaurs can be assigned as composters and pick up poop around the ranch.

The update also adds new kinds of trees and recipes, a new memorial garden area, and some new items and colors. Quality of Life improvements include a new compass, auto-sorting inventory, skipping to next time of day, and a sprint control option.

“The day has finally come to launch this final piece of the Players’ Choice puzzle,” said Aimee, from the Paleo Pines team. “We are incredibly grateful to our community and our Dino Designers who helped shape this update. We can’t wait to see everyone exploring the new features, decorating their ranches, and showing off their screenshots!”

Paleo Pines is available on Steam and Nintendo Switch, alongside free demos. It’s rated E for Everyone.
