Developer Hipster Whale has partnered with BBC Studios and Ludo Studio to bring Bluey into Crossy Road Castle. Players will be able to play as beloved Bluey characters and explore Bluey’s house within the zany obstacle course world of Crossy Road.

The good news is the crossover will be available as a free update, beginning on May 22.

The not-so-good news: Bluey and Bingo’s Obstacle Course will only be available until June 22. And it will be exclusive to the game’s original platform, Apple Arcade. Boo!

However, good news again — once you unlock Bluey’s house, you can keep it after the event ends.

Bluey and Bingo’s Obstacle Course adds a brand new tower to explore, inspired by the Heeler house. Up to four players can jump and dodge through 60 different levels, while avoiding those pesky gnomes. Players can also unlock 17 different characters and hats from the Bluey-verse.

Hipster Whale wants to keep players coming back, as new characters and challenges specific to the update will be released every two weeks.

As an Australian game studio, Hipster Whale has a special relationship with Australia’s globally beloved animated series: Art Director, Alice Walsh, contributed to Bluey Season 3.

Crossy Road Castle is a 2D co-op platformer where up to four players venture through dozens of tiny levels trying to make it to the other side. Different towers feature different themes, puzzles, and challenges. Players are scored depending on how far they make it, and can unlock new towers, characters, and hats.

Bluey is the Emmy award-winning children’s animated show that has become a global phenomenon. This summer, Bluey will be featured in other Apple games besides Crossy Road, including Disney Coloring World, Stitch, and Puffies.

In addition to Apple Arcade, Crossy Road Castle is also available on PlayStation 5, Switch, and Xbox Series X/S.
