Mattel Inc, and developer Pikpok have announced that Barbie: Horse Ride & Rescue is coming to PC, Switch 2, and mobile devices. The mobile platform release will launch first on June 16, with Steam and Switch 2 to follow in 2027.
In Barbie: Horse Ride & Rescue, players create their own custom character, and join Barbie “Brooklyn” Roberts and Barbie “Malibu” Roberts at Roaming Hearts Rescue Ranch. As helpful volunteers, players will explore Moonrise Valley and help horses in need of rescue, and a home at the ranch.
Expect lots of horse-focus, including grooming, feeding, and saddle customization. Plus, players can explore for other wildlife, enjoy racing and fashion challenges, and uncover the mystery of the horses roaming the valley.
New Zealand developer Pikpok previously released Rival Stars Horse Racing (2020), a well-regarded horse-racing sim for PC and mobile devices.
Note that this is a different Barbie horse game than last year’s Barbie Horse Trails, from Outright Games.
Barbie: Horse Ride & Rescue will launch on iOS and Android mobile devices (includes in-app purchases) on June 16, with Switch 2 and Steam coming next year. It’s rated E for Everyone.
