Outright Games and Mattel announced Barbie Horse Trails, an all-ages adventure game launching October 10 on Steam PC, PlayStation, Switch, and Xbox.

Players choose between two characters, Barbie “Brooklyn” Roberts or Barbie “Malibu” Roberts, and explore the landscapes of Canterbury Trails Park. As Junior Rangers under the leadership of Lady Carson (apparently Ken’s aunt? I’m not up on my Barbie lore), the equine enthusiasts can learn about the park, discover wildlife, take pictures. and document findings.

There are also mysteries to solve, courtesy of Archaeologist Dr. Potts. Players can also discover treasure chests with new gear and accessories.

Though this is a single player game, Junior Rangers never go at it alone; you’re always accompanied by your faithful steed, Lucky. Lucky requires all the usual horse maintenance: cleaning, grooming, feeding, and love.

“With Barbie Horse Trails, our teams set out to create an experience that offers players a rich, hands-on adventure rooted in exploration and creativity,” said Erika Winterholler, Head of Business Development, Digital Gaming, Mattel. “From riding through unique environments to customizing characters and completing in-game challenges, the gameplay is designed to be immersive, engaging, and fun for all ages.”

Barbie Horse Trails will release October 10 on PC, PlayStation, Switch, and Xbox. It’s rated E for Everyone.
