My Little Pony has arrived in freemium life sim, Heartopia. From now through March 15, players can engage in special activities to reawaken the Tree of Harmony, and return it to the kingdom of Equestria.

To complete the event, players must Sense the tree at its base, to collect Elements of Harmony inspired by the classic children’s cartoon: honesty, generosity, loyalty, kindness, laughter, and magic. Players can then water the tree using these elements, raising its progress bar, and gaining rewards.

Special rewards include Moonlight Crystals, Exhibition Passes, and Badge Pull Tokens. The tokens can be used to obtain special Pony Series badges.

Of course, it’s not an event in a gacha game without special pulls. The Heartopia X My Little Pony event adds six Gacha Pools, each inspired by a different member of the main cast. Each pool includes five outfit pieces inspired by the character, as well as a character-themed vehicle.

Collecting vehicle also rewards thirty Time-Limited Exhibition Passes. If a player collects all six vehicles, they also receive the Harmony Core sports car vehicle. I’m going to presume the vehicles are super rare drops, however.

After beta testing on mobile, Heartopia launched on Steam in January, with cross play support.

Heartopioa is a multiplayer life sim where players design and decorate their homes and avatars, and enjoy the cozy life of fishing, cooking, gardening, and birdwatching. Despite its relative popularity on Steam (over 50,000 concurrent players), the game currently has a Mixed user rating around 70%, with players frustrated with overly predatory gacha mechanics, a poor PC port that plays too similarly to the mobile version, and the use of AI-generated content.

Heartopia is available on Steam PC, and iOS and Android mobile devices. Its rated T for Teen.
