The Pokémon Company revealed new details regarding the Mega Dimension DLC for Pokémon Legends: Z-A, launching December 10 on Switch and Switch 2.
Mega Dimension features a new storyline in Lumiose City. Guided by a new ally, Team MZ will investigate new spatial distortions that lead to an all-new dimension: Hyperspace Lumiose. This area is home to unique Pokémon not found in Lumiose, as well as new Mega Evolutions.
In fact, Pokémon in the Hyperspace region can exceed the normal level cap of 100, creating challenging new encounters. By gathering berries, players can make donuts that power up Pokémon to take on more powerful threats.
The DLC will also include all-new Mega Evolutions. The trailer revealed Mega Chimecho, and Mega Baxcalibur. The Mega Stone for Baxcalibur can be earned from the Z-A Battle Club in online Ranked Battles.

Current players can also enjoy a new free quest for the base game. Starting November 6, players can claim a Diancite Mystery Gift, and unlock a new side quest.
To obtain the Mystery Gift, select Mystery Gift from the Z-A Royale online menu, then Get via Internet. You’ll also need to complete the main story of Pokémon Legends: Z-A.
Once you’ve finished the story and obtained the Mega Stone, head to the Looker Bureau and talk to Mimi the Espurr to begin the quest, “Shine Bright like a Gemstone.” Complete the quest to earn the mythical Jewel Pokémon Diancie, and equip it with the Mega Stone to Mega Evolve!
We’re fans of Pokémon Legends: Z-A, though it’s not without some glaring flaws.
