Gameloft has officially announced the next big update for Disney Dreamlight Valley: Return to Beast’s Castle. Plus, a spooky new Star Path, and new Premium shop items.
The update will arrive on all platforms on October 1.
Return to Beast’s Castle has players… returning to the Beauty & the Beast Realm! This time they’ll find the dynamic duo, Cogsworth and Lumiere. The upper crust servants are dealing with a crisis in the Castle. Once that’s solved, players can welcome the sidekick characters into their Valley as the newest residents.
Both characters come with their own quest line, including a mystery involving Tiana’s Palace.
It’s not the first time Dreamlight Valley added sidekick characters. Last year around this time, we got Timon and Pumbaa from The Lion King.
The update also includes a new Halloween-themed Star Path, Witchful Thinking. Complete routines and tasks to earn new spooky furniture, decorations, and outfits. Plus, the seasonal event Trick or Treat is returning. Starting October 15, players can engage with limited-time activities to earn new mysterious rewards. The event ends October 31.
On October 22, the new Haunting Floating Festivals begins. This floating island has mysteriously appeared above Dreamlight Valley. While previous floating islands were a blank canvas for decorating, this one is full of puzzles waiting to be solved. New puzzles will unlock over time, and by completing them, players can earn an exclusive reward. The Haunting Floating Festivals event ends November 22.
Finally, new items are coming to the Premium Shop. A new premium companion can be found with the Witchy Kitty. Plus a Once Upon a Dance Dream Bundle, with new styles for Belle and the Beast — and a unique interaction for whenever they meet in the Valley.

The premium shop will also see its first-ever alternate skin for the Dream Castle, the Halloween Castle, to really fit the seasonal vibes.
Dreamlight Valley is currently in the midst of the Inside Out update, which included an overhaul to the seasonal Star Paths. The life sim also recently announced the next major paid DLC expansion, Wishblossom Ranch.
Disney Dreamlight Valley is available on PC, Mac, PlayStation, Switch, Xbox, and mobile devices. It’s rated E for Everyone.
