Cute life sim Disney Dreamlight Valley has been a big hit since its early access/founder’s debut in August. Gameloft has released the first major content update for Dreamlight Valley: Scar’s Kingdom.

The free update also adds the next seasonal Star Path, which features several Halloween and villain-themed goodies to unlock.

In Scar’s Kingdom, players will have to team up with the scheming villain of the Pride Lands. Newly arrived in Dreamlight Valley, Scar can help restore the Pillar of Nurturing by diving into the mines beneath the Sunlit Plateau. I’m sure he’s doing everything out of the goodness of his heart!

The update also adds the next Star Path season, Dreamlight Valley’s version of the battle pass, including premium and non-premium unlockables. By playing the game and completing tasks, players can earn pumpkins. Pumpkins can be spent on dozens of villainous goodies in the Star Path, including outfits, motifs,

“From the start, we’ve promised our players regular content updates as part of Early Access and beyond, and we couldn’t be happier to deliver on that with our first update,” said Nicholas Mainville, Game Director, Disney Dreamlight Valley. “Bringing Scar into the ongoing story of Dreamlight Valley and giving players a chance to embrace their ‘bad’ sides, while diving into this unique world filled with brand-new twists should be welcoming to even the most heroic of fans, and we can’t wait for players to hop in.”

Disney Dreamlight Valley is available in paid Early Access for PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, Microsoft Store), Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. It’s coming next year as free-to-play. It’s rated E for Everyone.
