Disney Dreamlight Valley will launch as a free-to-play game next year, but if you’re willing to pay, you can jump in starting today. The Disney-themed life sim is available now via the Early Access Founder’s Pack Edition on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, Microsoft Store), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S (starting at $29.99).

After customizing their avatars, players are dropped into Dreamlight Valley, where animated characters from Disney and Pixar worlds live together. A calamity called The Forgetting has left the village in shambles and the residents without their memories.

Players will work to restore villagers’ memories and help rebuild the town, including fashioning their own clothing and home. The gameplay has been (favorably) compared to Animal Crossing with more emphasis on characters and story.

“With Early Access now live, players can learn firsthand what makes Disney Dreamlight Valley such a magical experience and we can’t wait to receive player feedback as part of our Early Access period once they’ve officially taken up residence,” said Manea Castet, game manager and studio lead, Gameloft Montreal. “We encourage all to jump into this unique Disney and Pixar adventure unlike any other, while meeting and helping a host of familiar characters, solving the mysteries of The Forgetting, or just hanging out and personalizing their avatar and home.”

The Founder’s Pack Edition is available in Standard, Deluxe, and Ultimate versions. All provide Early Access to the game, as well as bonus decorations, design motifs, and the game’s in-game currency of Moonstones.

Disney Dreamlight Valley is rated E for Everyone.
