Marvel’s Avengers first post-launch DLC hero, Kate Bishop (played by Ashly Burch), also known as Hawkeye, is arriving on December 8 alongside a new story chapter in the campaign and a powerful new villain in the Adaptoid. It’s the first half of a two-part free DLC pack that will include Clint Barton, AKA the original Hawkeye.

Taking Aim is set after the events of the story campaign in Marvel’s Avengers. Kate Bishop, a master archer and gymnast, has been investigating the disappearance of Nick Fury and her mentor, Clint Barton. The missing heroes are tied to the appearance of time-warping Tachyon Rifts. Bishop discovers a new plan from AIM, and officially joins up with the newly assembled Avengers.

Taking Aim also includes unique rewards for Bishop. For more information on Kate Bishop’s story and gameplay, Square Enix has released another War Table video providing nearly 10 minutes of gameplay and information.

Marvel’s Avengers is available on Steam PC, PlayStation 4, Stadia, and Xbox One. It’s available via backwards compatibility on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Taking Aim is a free update arriving December 8. Part two, which features Clint Barton’s addition and story, will arrive in early 2021 and set the stage for future post-launch heroes and stories.

Marvel’s Avengers is rated T for Teen.
