Fortnitemares, the annual Halloween event for Fortnite, is now live through November 3. This year’s event is called Fortnitemares 2020: Midas’ Revenge, adding new shadow gameplay after your eliminated in a match, as well as new challenges and spooky-themed rewards to unlock.

During Midas’ Revenge, being eliminated in Solos, Duos, or Squads isn’t the end. You’ll return as a shadow, competing in the Nitemare Royale with fellow shadows.

Shadows have access to new gear like the Pumpkin Rocket Launcher, Fiend Hunter Crossbow, and Witch Broom. New powers include the ability to possess vehicles in order to exact your revenge on living players.

Midas’ Revenge also includes new Challenges that include using new items and abilities, including eating candy, flying on the Witch’s Broom, and becoming a shadow player. New challenges will unlock throughout the event. Completing challenges will earn unique rewards like the Smash O’-Lantern Pickaxe, Bobo Back Bling, and Midas’ Shadow Wrap.

Fortnite is also hosting a J Balvin concert on October 31. The Afterlife Party will feature a special performance of Latin culture and hip-hop, and a new song featuring Sech. The digital concert will take place at the Main Stage in Party Royale on Oct. 31 at 9p Eastern/6p Pacific.

At the Item Shop you’ll be able to purchase a Party Trooper Outfit for the occasion. Those who own the outfit and attend the concert will earn the exclusive J Balvin variant costume style.

The Fornitemares 2020 event is available now through November 3. Fortnite is free-to-play on Android, PlayStation 4, Switch, Xbox One, and the Epic Games Store. It’s rated T for Teen.
