Fortnite Season 4 adds a super-size crossover with Marvel comics. The season is called Nexus War, and adds a unique Battle Pass full of Marvel-themed goodies.

The new season replaces and adds several new locations on the island, including Doom’s Domain, Sentinel Graveyard, and even the iconic helicarrier, where players can read the Thor: Nexus War comic. Stark Labs adds a new energy rifle and supply drones that hover around quinjet landing sites around the map.

The Season 4 Battle Pass adds new Marvel skins, gliders, sprays, etc based on iconic characters like Iron Man, Storm, Mystique, She-Hulk, and Groot. More characters will be joining through the season.

The Nexus War event is based on a real Marvel comics event that’s happening right now. The first issue stars Thor as a Herald of Galactus, the Devourer of Worlds, as he discovers the Fortnite island.

“One of the most exciting things about the crossover is how naturally it keeps a foot both in Fortnite and the Marvel Universe,” says Marvel Comics and NEXUS WAR editor Mark Basso. “We had a lot of great creative discussions between Marvel and Epic Games about where our storylines could cross over naturally, and seeing how prime a target the Fortnite Island would be for Galactus, who Donny Cates had already been exploring in his THOR series, set the whole thing into motion. If you’ve been playing Fortnite, you’ll have an inkling at how the Marvel characters will work on the Island.”

Fortnite Season 4 ends November 30. Fortnite is available on PC (Epic Games Store), PlayStation 4, Switch, Xbox One, and mobile – through Epic and Apple are currently fighting over the App Store on iOS. Fortnite is rated T for Teen.
