Electronic Arts and Maxis announced the latest expansion to The Sims 4. The Eco Lifestyle Expansion Pack features new community programs, alternative energy sources, and eco-centric careers. It’s launching June 5 on PC, Mac, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

“We’re thrilled to give players the opportunity to explore an eco-friendly way of living in The Sims and play the change they want to see,” said George Pigula, Producer, Maxis. “By discovering and practicing sustainable habits, like using solar panels or wind turbines to power their electricity, or up-cycling materials to create new furniture, players and their Sims can play with life in all-new ways.”

Eco Lifestyle adds the new world of Evergreen Harbor. Here Sims can directly impact the environment and their community. Energy can be produced via solar panels and wind turbines, and food can be grown in vertical gardens. Clothes and furniture can be made from up-cycled materials.

Sims can also join the Community Voting Board and commit to action plans each week. Action plans include setting up community spaces, and installing eco-friendly objects. New eco-minded careers include Civil Designers and Freelance Crafters.

If they don’t take action, Evergreen Harbor will become polluted and dirty. By picking up trash, using eco-friendly materials, and engaging in community activism, Evergreen Harbor can become a vibrant, beautiful, sustainable neighborhood.

The Sims 4: Eco Lifestyle will release June 5 for PC and Mac (Origin), PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, for $39.99. The Sims 4 is rated T for Teen.
