Just ahead of Tokyo Game Show 2019 this weekend, Square Enix announced the first DLC for Kingdom Hearts 3. The DLC is titled Re Mind, and will continue the story after the events of Kingdom Hearts 3. Re Mind is due out this Winter. Watch the new trailer above (English subtitles).

In the Re Mind DLC, Sora travels to a familiar realm to battle powerful new foes from Organization XIII. In some of these boss battles, players will be able to switch between multiple characters. New Keyblades can also be downloaded with the accompanying free update.

Kingdom Hearts 3 uniquely combines Disney characters and worlds with an original JRPG story and action-RPG gameplay. It launched earlier this year after an infamously long development cycle, and includes Disney and Pixar properties Frozen, Tangled, Toy Story, and Monsters Inc.

The long awaited threequel was met with mixed to positive reviews. Despite enjoying the original game back in the early 2000s, I called Kingdom Hearts 3 a “PS2 game in all the worst ways.”

Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind is coming this Winter for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Kingdom Hearts III is rated E10+ for Fantasy Violence, Mild Blood, and Use of Alcohol.
