In a new trailer Kingdom Hearts 3 showed off the latest Disney franchise included in the unique Disney-RPG crossover: Big Hero 6. On their journey Sora, Donald and Goofy will join the superhero crew in San Fransokyo. Kingdom Hearts 3 will feature the full crew of young superheroes, including Hiro Hamada, Honey Lemon, Go Go Tomago, Wasabi No-Ginger, Fred, and Baymax in his robo-suit.

The trailer was shown at the Tokyo Game Show, and is subtitled in English.

The world of Big Hero 6 joins other Disney and Pixar worlds that have been shown in various trailers throughout the years (but most notably, in the last year). Other included Disney franchises are Frozen, Tangled, Monsters Inc, Toy Story, and Pirates of the Caribbean. The trailer also shows a whole bunch of bad guys discussing bad guy stuff, reminding us all that the Kingdom Hearts story is banana pants crazy and convoluted.

The trailer also revealed a new ability for Sora: selfies! Sora can use his Gummiphone to take selfies with all the friends and allies he meets during the adventure. Photo modes are here to stay.

The other big news for Kingdom Hearts 3 from the Tokyo Game Show is the official unveiling of the box art. It’s drawn by series director Tetsua Nomura and features many of the primary characters overlooking a gorgeous sunset in a city.kingdom hearts 3

Kingdom Hearts 3 has infamously been in development for years, with the first teaser trailer shown back at E3 2013. The last mainline game, Kingdom Hearts 2, released in 2005 on the PlayStation 2.

Kingdom Hearts 3 is finally releasing January 25, 2019 on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. It has not yet been rated, but previous games in the series have been rated E10+.
