Frontier Developments announced the Prehistoric Marine Species Pack for Jurassic World Evolution 2. The DLC will add four new aquatic creatures to the dinosaur zoo management game when it launches August 10th on PC (Steam, EGS), PlayStation, and Xbox ($7.99)
The four new prehistoric creatures are Archelon, Nothosaurus, Dunkleosteus, and Shonisaurus.
Archelon is the prehistoric ancestor of the modern snapping turtle, and the largest turtle ever discovered.
Nothosaurus is the older ancestor of its more well-known plesiosaur, with its long neck and webbed feet. Nothosaurus almost makes an appearance in the Netflix animated show, Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous (which received its own DLC pack for Jurassic World Evolution 2).
Dunkleosteus may be the most recognizable of the bunch, a large, armored fish with powerful jaws. And rounding out the group is Shonisaurus, a large member of the Ichthyosaur family.
The DLC also adds a new aquatic observation item with the Lagoon Rock Platform.
A free update will arrive alongside the DLC, adding the Lagoon Viewing Dome and San Diego Amphitheatre. Players will also be able to set and share their own challenges for the challenge mode, and toggle hostile dinosaurs off in sandbox mode, for a less stressful experience.
The Prehistoric Marine Species Pack will arrive on August 10th. Jurassic World Evolution 2 is rated T for Teen.
