Lightfall, the latest expansion for Destiny 2, is available now on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox ($49.99). Lightfall continues the Light & Darkness storyline, adding a new campaign versus the Shadow Legion, a Legendary campaign mode, a new raid, and a new Darkness-powered subclass.

Strand is a new Darkness-themed elemental power. Each Guardian class can unleash Strand powers in different ways. The Titan weaves Strand into their swords and armor, while the Hunter uses Strand to enhance grappling abilities. All classes can use Strand to grapple to increase mobility in and out of combat.

The new campaign will take Guardians to the city of Neomuna. They’ll stand with the Cloud Striders again Calus and the Shadow Legion. A Legendary Campaign mode allows players to experience the story while providing more challenges and better rewards.

A new season has also arrived, the Season of Defiance. The season features a new three-person mode called Defiant Battlegrounds, taking Guardians deep behind enemy lines.

Destiny 2 is free-to-play, and supported by regular expansion packs and paid seasons. All players can play the intro missions for Lightfall and the Season of Defiance, as well as the upcoming Guardian Games 2023. Lightfall Standard Edition includes the season pass for season 20. The Annual Pass edition ($99.99) also includes seasons 21-23, and several in-game goodies.

Desinty 2 is rated T for Teen.
