Square Enix has announced that Minecraft-like spin-off Dragon Quest Builders 2 is now available on Xbox One and Windows 10 PC. It’s also playable on Xbox Series X/S via backwards compatibility.
More importantly, it’s also been added to Xbox Game Pass, Xbox’s subscription gaming service. It’s also a Play Anywhere game, meaning that save progress and achievements are shared between the Xbox and Windows 10 digital versions.
The Xbox version includes all DLC that previously released on the PlayStation 4 and Steam versions, including the Hotto Stuff Pack, Modernist Pack, Aquarium Pack, and Historic Headware.
In Dragon Quest Builders 2, up to four players can join together to play as heroic builders. Washing up on the shores of the Isle of Awakening, they’ll explore explore islands, develop skills, help townsfolk, craft material, harvest crops, and defeat classic Dragon Quest enemies on their path to becoming a Master Builder.
Take the classic Dragon Quest RPG, turn it into an action-RPG, and layer in a bunch of Minecraft crafting and building gameplay. The sequel added four player cooperative multiplayer, as well as the ability to build higher in the world.
Dragon Quest Builders 2 originally launched in 2019 on Switch and PlayStation 4, followed by Steam PC. It’s rated E10+.
