Dr. Randy Kulman and Learning Works for Kids
Dr. Kulman joins us this week to talk about digital media and kids. He explains his Play Diet concept, which is a great way to look at regulating various kinds of healthy play for kids. There are some great resources on LearningWorksForKids.com, such as:
- How to set limits when a play diet isn’t working
- A database of educational games and apps with information about what skills and abilities the apps help with
- Tools and apps to enforce screen time limits
- Information for parents, teachers, and counselors about alternative learners (like kids on the autism spectrum and kids with ADHD)
Be sure to check out the LearningWorks for Kids YouTube channel, which has some very cool Let’s Plays, and our interview with Dr. Kulman.
