Indie developer Feel Free Games has announced that cozy life sim adventure, Luma Island, is coming soon to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. The release will also add cross-platform multiplayer, allowing up to four players to explore the island across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.
Luma Island is a relaxing life sim free of time, stamina, or inventory constraints that are typical in the genre. Players can swap and progress between several different Professions, including Blacksmith, Brewer, Fisherman, and Treasure Hunter. Each Profession has its own line of quests, crafting, tools, and resources.
Players can also discover Lumas, magical companions with different abilities, such as finding buried treasure.
For the ultimate cozy adventure, Luma Island offers a Cozy difficulty setting, which features more peaceful exploration with optional combat.
Luma Island first released in 2024 on Steam PC. It received a major update in 2025, which added a large zone and a new profession. Despite the quality update and appealing toy-like art style, I still wasn’t a big fan of the overall gameplay, however. The life sim also lacks meaningful storytelling and NPCs, focusing more on exploration, adventure, and crafting.
It could be a lot more fun with friends in multiplayer, though.

Luma Island is available to wishlist on PlayStation and Xbox. It’s currently available on Steam PC, with a 40% discount through September 28 ($11.99).
