Mattel Game Studios and Exclusible have released Barbie DreamStyle, a new fashion game for Roblox.

In DreamStyle, up to four friends work together to style the perfect look. Players have five minutes to chose the scene, the theme, and design the outfit before voting on other players’ creations. By earning votes, players unlock new rewards and additional shop items.

The game includes over 250 outfits, including color changes, patterns, sizing, and shapes. Scenic backdrops and body types also offer a variety of options to match with different styles. Completed fits can be captured in Photo Mode, and shared with friends in the social hub.

DreamStyle was developed in collaboration with Roblox designer, Dioncella, who also worked on the popular Roblox fashion experience, Dress to Impress.

“With Barbie DreamStyle, we wanted to create a fashion experience that feels authentic to both Barbie and the Roblox community,” said Sean Thompson, VP, Mattel Game Studios. “Collaborating with both Exclusible and Dioncella helped us achieve that, while reinforcing Mattel Game Studios’ commitment to delivering fresh, original experiences across creator platforms where fans are already discovering, creating and playing together.”

Barbie DreamStyle is a Roblox game, or ‘experience,’ that’s accessible entirely within Roblox, which is less of a game and more of a multiplayer gaming platform. Earlier this year, Roblox introduced new age-based accounts for younger users, Roblox Kids for ages 5-8, and Roblox Selects for ages 9-15.

Roblox is available on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and mobile devices. Despite its huge popularity with younger kids, the ESRB has given Roblox a T for Teen rating with Diverse Content: Discretion Advised, due to its emphasis on user-generated content.
