On of this year’s most anticipated life and farm sims, Fields of Mistria, has officially launched as 1.0 on Steam. The big 1.0 update adds marriage and children, and finishes the main story questline.
The 1.0 update increases the Town Renown Cap to 100, allowing players to finish the Town Repair Quest, as well as the Museum.
The NPC Heart Level Cap has also been raised to 10, unlocking the ability to marry your favorite NPC. Although I did laugh out lout at this note in the 1.0 FAQ:
What will happen to my other relationships when I get married?
If you were dating multiple characters prior to getting married, they will switch to “best friend” status afterward.
Players can now craft the Engagement Ring item upon reaching 10 Hearts with an NPC they’re currently dating, and unlock special 10-Heart Proposal Events. Wedding elements, such as colors, cake, and meals, can be customized by speaking to your fiance. After marriage, players can choose to have a child.
Other additions and changes include improved drop rates in the mines, new NPC dialogue, new Town Rank Quests, and more furniture and cosmetics. Oh, and Steam achievements, which are retroactive!

[…] After all, 1.0 is only the beginning.”
Featuring SNES-inspired pixel art, Stardew Valley-like gameplay, and well-written NPCs, Fields of Mistria has been warmly embraced by fans of life sims, dating sims, and farm sims. After two years in early access, Fields of Mistira has fully launched, without a price increase. It features a launch discount of 20% off through August 13.
