SEGA and DPI Merch have revealed the official Sonic the Hedgehog 35th Anniversary Collection, including a varsity jacket, mug, journal, and a 12″ Green Hill Zone Statue.
The 12″ statue is definitely the coolest items in the collection. The Green Hill Zone Statue features the blue hedgehog in the iconic opening stage of the original 1991 game. Sonic is mid-stride, holding a Chaos Emerald, while a monitor displays the 35th anniversary logo.
The blue varsity jacket is a bit lame, but the 35th Anniversary Varsity Jacket Buddy Plush, which features a plush Sonic wearing the varsity jacket, is totes adorbs.
Other anniversary items include the 35th Anniversary Mug, Crossbody Bag, Snapback Hat, and Green Hill Zone tee, and Chaos Emerald tee.
The circular Crossbody Bag looks particularly striking (and pin-worthy), with an appropriately colorful Sonic forming the circle as he runs.
There’s also the official 35th Anniversary Journal, sporting the Chaos Emeralds and three versions of Sonic. And you can collect all the Chaos Emeralds with the Supersonic Hero Pin Set.
For a much more cutesy vibe, Amazon has recently launched an officially licensed line of Sonic clothing and accessories with the Sonic & Friends collection.
The Sonic 35th anniversary also features ongoing sales on Sonic games, including Superstars, CrossWorlds, and Sonic x Shadow Generations. Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds also continues its post-launch DLC of licensed IP, including Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Avatar.
