Secret Mode and developer Fuse Games have revealed the release date for Star Wars: Galactic Racer. Galactic Racer will launch on October 6 on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox, with Standard and Deluxe Editions, and a fancy physical Collector’s Edition.

Galactic Racer is, shockingly, a racing game. In the single player campaign, mysterious player character Shade joins the Galactic League, an underground racing circuit in the Outer Rim of the Star Wars universe.

This isn’t just simple podracing, however. Players can pilot a variety of repulsorcraft with three different playstyles: landspeeder, speeder bike, and the all-new skimspeeder.

And no Force powers allowed! Just high-speed driving skills.

In addition to a single player campaign, players can also race with up to 12 players via online multiplayer.

And because it’s a Star Wars game, we have to explain where exactly in the timeline this game takes place. The answer is between Episodes Six and Seven (pause for jokes), after the Rebel Alliance defeated the Empire, in the era of the New Republic. Some characters as far back as Episode One: The Phantom Menace (aka the one with the podracing), will make an appearance.

Somehow, Sebulba has returned!

All pre-orders of Galactic Racer will receive a bonus skin for your vehicle, with the color depending on the platform, as well as a player background for multiplayer.

The Deluxe Edition ($79.99) includes three bonus vehicles: the Kor Sarun: Darc X landspeeder, Kor Sarun: Ciza T speeder bike, and Kor Sarun: Rak S skimspeeder. Plus, three deluxe Arcade events made for the bonus vehicles, a Deluxe Livery Pack and Banner Pack, and a Digital Art Book.

The Deluxe Edition is available in digital and physical formats. Note that the physical Deluxe and Standard versions are only available for PS5 and Xbox X/S.

The Collector’s Edition is priced at $159.99.

Star Wars: Galactic Racer will release on October 6 on PC (Steam, Epic), PlayStation 5, and XBox Series X/S.
