March 10, 2026 is “MAR10 Day,” when Nintendo celebrates their iconic mascot, mostly through discounts on Mario games. This year is no different, despite Nintendo still counting it as Mario’s 40th anniversary, which we celebrated in 2025.
Starting now, fans can enjoy deals on Mario games for Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, participate in a limited-time event in Mario Kart World, and enter to win a theme park vacation to Super Nintendo World.
The follow games are discounted through March 15:
- Super Mario Party Jamboree Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV $61.98 (22% off)
- Super Mario Party Jamboree $41.99 (30% off)
- Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury $39.99 (33% off)
- Mario vs Donkey Kong $39.99 (20% off)
- Super Mario Maker 2 $39.99 (33% off)
- Super Mario RPG $41.99 (30% off)
- Luigi’s Mansion 3 $39.99 (33% off)
- Donkey Kong Country Returns HD $41.99 (30% off)
- Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games $29.99 (50% 0ff)
- Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope $5.99 (90% off)
Given that Nintendo rarely discounts their games, these relatively bland sale prices for many games that are five plus years old aren’t surprising (Mario + Rabbids as an Ubisoft title notwithstanding). The real question is how Donkey Kong Country Returns sneaked into a Mario-themed sale!
Players who own Mario Kart World, and a Nintendo Switch Online membership can participate in a new My Nintendo Open Series. A total of three events take place over the next three weeks, in a variety of multiplayer game modes.
To enter, navigate to Play Online, then to Find Event. Enter event codes 3101, 3102, and 3101 for three different events. By playing in any of the events, players can earn 310 My Nintendo Platinum Points. The final event ends March 25, and points can be claimed on April 1.
Platinum Points are redeemed for various digital awards on the My Nintendo website – including entering a sweepstakes for a family vacation in Super Nintendo World, available through March 31.
MAR10 Day also features a meet-and-green with the mustache man himself at the Nintendo NEw York and San Francisco stores, and a special partnership with Lunchables with QR codes to win a Switch 2.
The other big Mario news is the arrival of the animated feature film sequel, The Super Mario Galaxy movie, in theaters April 1.
