Halfbrick Studios (Fruit Ninja, Jetpack Joyride), with Ludo Studio, and BBC Studios, have released Bluey’s Quest for the Gold Pen on iOS mobile devices. The adventure game is based on the popular Australian children’s cartoon, Bluey. Quest for the Gold Pen will release on Android devices on January 10, 2026, with PC and gaming platforms coming later in 2026.
In Quest for the Gold Pen, Dad takes Bluey’s Gold Pen when she’s trying to create a new drawing. The Heller family gathers together to create the new world through drawings, and the power of make-believe that makes the animated series so endearing. Dad becomes King Goldie Horns, while sister Bingo transforms into Bingoose, who accompanies Bluey on their epic quest to retrieve the Golden Pen.
The adventure game features platforming, collectibles, and puzzle challenges through nine hand-drawn worlds. The story concept and art style are specifically inspired by Season 2, Episode 21 “Escape,” and Season 3, Episode 43, “Dragon.”
“Bluey has always been about turning small moments into big adventures,” said Joe Brumm, creator of Bluey. “Writing Bluey’s Quest for The Gold Pen and seeing the game come to life has been a lot of fun, and I’m excited for families to play and experience the world of Bluey in a way that only imagination can make possible.”
Blue’s Quest for the Gold Pen is available now on iPhone, iPad and Mac via the Apple Store, with an Age Rating of 4+ (though the press release mentions a recommended age of 7+). It’s free to download as a demo, then $14.99 to unlock the full game. There are no other in-app purchases.
