Pokémon Legends: Z-A players can nab a rare Alpha Charizard courtesy of the Mystery Gift feature. The Alpha variant is available to all players to celebrate the release of the Mega Dimension DLC on December 10. In fact, half of the official launch trailer is just showing off the popular Pokémon (not that I’m complaining — let my boy cook)!
To obtain the Alpha Charizard, Select Link Play from the main menu in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, then Mystery Gift, and Get With Code.
Enter the following password: ” B1G0006 ” to receive the Pokémon.
The Alpha Charizard arrives at level 36, and includes the move Solar Beam, a move it can’t normally learn by leveling up.
Alpha variants are larger and have improved stats compared to normal Pokémon (and rarer to find in the wild).
Charizard is extra awesome in Z-A thanks to its unique dual Mega Evolution forms. Players can purchase Charizardite X and Charizardite Y at the Stone Emporium to Mega Evolve into either form.
Players must claim their free Alpha Charizard by January 19, 2026.
Mega Dimension adds a new, high-level layer to Pokémon Legends: Z-A, including level 100-plus Pokémon, and new Mega Evolution forms. Plus more starter Pokémon, including Sceptile, Swampert, and Blaziken.
Pokémon Legends: Z-A is a unique entry in the Pokémon RPG series. It’s set entirely in a single city, and features real-time battling (read our review). It’s available on Switch and Switch 2, and rated E10+.
