Slime Rancher 2 is officially out! You may think — wait a minute, didn’t that come out like several years ago! Yes, but in Early Access.

After three years of Early Access, and many updates later, Monomi Park has released Slime Rancher 2 1.0 ($29.99).

It’s available now on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. The Steam version features a nice launch discount of 35% off ($19.49)

The full release mostly adds end-game content, including the final leg of the Grey Labyrinth. The new areas feature new Hyper Slimes, and the completion of the main storyline to save Rainbow Island. Plus, more content for after the end credits.

End-game player rewards use prisma ports from the Labyrinth to unlock a new Night Market shop, and several new Gadgets, and Gadget variants. Plus, new automated drones called Quantum Drones. See the full patch notes here.

Slime Rancher 2 is the long-awaited sequel to the cute first-person ranching sim. It features a new island, more slimes, more gadgets, and a new dynamic weather system.

“Slime Rancher 2 is like a rainbow-hued laser beam that fills your heart full of warmth, curiosity, and surprise from the many hundreds of wiggly, silly slimes waiting to meet you on your adventure,” said Nick Popovich, co-founder, CEO at Monomi Park. “Every inch of its lovingly crafted world was made by people: people who think, who dream, who put their heart and sweat into making art for other people to enjoy. Rainbow Island exists because of them, and now it waits for you to explore.”

Slime Rancher 2 is also getting two fancy physical editions courtesy of iam8bit. Both editions feature physical copies of the game, and a fold-out poster featuring art from Yusuke Naora (of Final Fantasy fame).

The iam8bit Exclusive Edition also includes an illustrated sleeve and sticker sheet. Pre-orders will receive a digital code for the official soundtrack. The physical editions will launch January 14, 2026.

Slime Rancher 2 is rated E10+.
