Slime Rancher 2 just got a big update today, courtesy of the Gadget My Way content patch, out now on PC and Xbox early access.

The Gadget My Way update unlocks and transforms the building system, adding 36 new gadgets, found in secret treasure pods scattered around Rainbow Island.

Using these new gadgets, along with an improved Gadget mode for building, allows players to build a variety of fun and funny devices and objects.

Gadgets include stunt cannons, display cases, windsocks, beach umbrellas, and pinwheels. The trailer shows off some delightful amusement park rides, such as a ferris wheel and carousel.

The update also expands the world, adding small areas to each zone, as well as new resources that only drop during extreme weather, such as thunderstorms.

Other additions and improvements include revamped map icons, new HUD notifications, and improved optimization.

Slime Rancher 2 has been in Early Access since 2022. Developer Monomi Park has two more major content updates planned for later this year (one in summer, and the later in fall). A full 1.0 release date has not yet been announced.

Slime Rancher is available on PC (Steam, Epic Games, Microsoft Store) and Xbox Series X/S. It’s rated E10+.
