ARK: The Animated Series is finally streaming now on Paramount+. Well, the first six episodes at least (and exclusively in the US). The rest of the series will be available on April 19.

The Animated Series is based on the popular survival-crafting game. Modern-day paleontologist Helena Walker (Madeleine Madden) awakens on the ARK island filled with prehistoric beasts and other survivors.

The star-studded cast includes Michelle Yeoh, Russell Crowe, Gerard Butler, David Tennant, Jeffrey Wright, Elliot Page, and Vin Diesel. Most of the actors also perform roles for the video game.

Ark: The Animated Series was first announced back in 2020, with a release date of 2022, alongside. Both projects were delayed. Unfortunately, Ark 2 was delayed again until the end of this year at the earliest, though we did get a remaster of the original game with ARK: Survival Ascended.

Survival Ascended players can celebrate the launch of the Animated Series with a new event.

The Dear Jane event sprinkles in-game letters written by Animated Series character Bob (voiced by a bored-sounding Karl Urban). The letters provide clues to Bob’s adventures during the events of the show. By finding letters, players can unlock costumes and skins from the show. New notes will appear every Tuesday and Thursday through April 11.

The first week includes costumes for Helena, Bob, Dodo, and Scary the Parasaur.

Ark: The Animated Series is produced by Lost Continent Entertainment, and Lex + Ortis. Ark: Survival Ascended is created by Studio Wildcard. It’s rated T for Teen, and available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
