Gearbox Publishing hosted the “Festival of Gup,” a showcase celebrating 10-year anniversary of Risk of Rain with the launch of Risk of Rain Returns, and the reveal of Risk of Rain 2: Seekers of the Storm, and Risk of Rain: Hostile Worlds.

Risk of Rain Returns is the remake of the original fast-paced, roguelike, 2D survival game. The remaster features more of everything: more enemies, survivors, stages, items, and a remastered soundtrack, while maintaining its frenetic chaos and multiplayer co-op fun.

It’s out now on Nintendo Switch and PC (Steam).

Risk of Rain 2: Seekers of the Storm, is the second expansion for Risk of Rain 2, which took the series into 3D (the first expansion, Survivors of the Void, is newly available on consoles).

Seekers of the Storm expands the lore of the franchise through a new villain, The False Son, and adds a stage with unique day and night phases.

A release date has not yet been announced, but like the first expansion, it’s coming to PC (Steam, Epic) first.

Risk of Rain 2 is available on PC, PlayStation, Switch, and Xbox.

Developed by Frima Studio, Risk of Rain: Hostile Worlds is an all-new entry in the series coming to mobile devices. It’s a free-to-play action-RPG where players unlock and collect survivors, and features the ability to swap survivors in the middle of missions.

By signing up for launch notifications at the official website, players can earn the Mercenary survivor when the game goes live. A release date has not yet been announced.
