Disney Speedstorm is a free-to-play kart racing game that’s launching in paid Early Access on April 18. Like Disney Dreamlight Valley, if you want to get in early, you’ll have to purchase one of the Founder’s Packs. The new trailer shows off some of the goodies you’ll receive, as well as some flashy gameplay.

I particularly love that racers have thematic special abilities, such as Sully (Monsters, Inc) opening up doors to get ahead, or Hercules summoning his trusty Pegasus to clear a path.

Purchasing the Standard Founder’s Pack ($29.99) nets the following in-game goodies:

  • Early Access to Disney Speedstorm on April 18
  • 2 Golden Pass Credits
  • Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck racers.
  • 1 Instant Racer Unlock from the following: Baloo, Belle, The Beast, Elizabeth Swann, Mowgli, or Shang
  • Exclusive racing suits and kart liveries for Mickey, Donald, and third chosen racer.
  • Founder’s motto and avatar
  • 4000 tokens

The Deluxe Founder’s Pack ($49.99) includes all the above, plus Mulan as an instant racer unlock (plus racing suit and livery), and another 3000 tokens.

The Ultimate Founder’ Pack ($69.99) adds Hercules and Jack Sparrow as instant racer unlocks (plus racing suits and liveries), and a total of 12,000 tokens.

All Founder’s Pack preorders receive the Early Brid racing suit and kart livery for Donald Duck.

Golden Pass Credits are used to unlock awards from the seasonal Golden Pass, which will rotate every six to eight weeks. Tokens can be spent in the in-game shop.

Disney Speedstorm will arrive in Early Access on PC, PlayStation, Switch, and Xbox on April 18. It’s rated E for Everyone.
