Fortnite has welcomed the world of Dragon Ball, one of the most well-known anime IPs to Western audiences. During the Fortnite x Dragon Ball crossover event, players can play as four characters from the anime: Son Goku, Vegeta, Bulma, and Beerus.
During Battle Royale matches, players can unleash the signature Kamehameha energy blast by collecting it as an item. The Nimbus Cloud can be picked up and used to fly around the island. Bulma can be found on an island off the mainland, wandering around the Kame house. By trading bars she can reward powerful items.
Beginning August 19, players can explore the Dragon ball Adventure Island. Collect Dragon Balls and visit iconic locations from the anime, such as Goku’s House and Kami’s Palace.
The Dragon Ball event includes a new set of unlockable goodies, called Power Unleashed. Collect Dragon Balls by completing limited-time quests and adventuring in Dragon Ball Adventure Island to earn more rewards, including back bling, emotes, sprays, and battle pass levels. Collect all seven Dragon Balls to earn the Shenron Glider.
For the next month (until September 17), Fortnite players can watch episodes of Dragon Ball Super directly in-game. Board a cruise ship and watch select episodes from the anime.
The event also includes purchasable items in the Item Shop, including our four playable characters. Items include the Nimbus Cloud Glider, Grandpa Gohan’s Power Pole, and the Charging Up Emote.
Fortnite is free-to-play, and available on PC, PlayStation, Switch, Xbox, and mobile devices. It’s rated T for Teen.
