Square Enix has announced Life is Strange Arcadia Bay Collection. The Arcadia Bay Collection brings remastered versions of the original Life is Strange, and its prequel Before the Storm, to Nintendo Switch for the first time. The Collection will release on September 27 in physical and digital formats.

The Collection features Life is Strange Remastered and Life is Strange: Before the Storm Remastered, with improved visuals and optimization for Switch. The biggest overhaul is with character animations, using full mocap performances.

The original Life is Strange stars Max Caulifield, a young woman who has the ability to rewind time, leading to new choices and consequences. Max uses her powers to right wrongs and help save the people of Arcadia Bay.

Before the Storm focuses on Max’s friend Chloe, set three years earlier. What Chloe lacks in time-travel, she makes up for with quick-witted, branching dialogue.

“Firstly I’d like to recognize [developer] Dontnod for creating the incredible original Life is Strange, and offer thanks to Deck Nine Games for taking the emotional on-screen performance of these beloved characters to a new level in these new editions,” said Jon Brooke, co-head of studio, Square Enix External Studios. “Bringing these award-winning stories to the Nintendo Switch for the very first time was essential for us, as was the care the Deck Nine team have shown during their development. We’re excited to welcome a whole host of new players to these must-play games.”

Life is Strange Arcadia Bay Collection is rated M for Mature.
