Season 1 kicks off this week for free-to-play brawler MultiVersus.

Like many other free-to-play games before it, the season brings a new Battle Pass full of unlockable in-game goodies.

The Battle Pass includes a free track and a paid premium track. The free track includes a Robin outfit for new character Lebron James, while the premium track includes extra rewards and cosmetics, including ringouts, character variants, and XP boosts.

Cosmetics range from rare to epic and legendary. Legendary variants often include unique voices and custom animations, such as Shaggy’s Uncle Shagworthy.

Progress is saved over the course of the season, so you can upgrade to the premium track at any time, and earn all the previous rewards.

Warner Bros. Games also revealed the next characters coming to the roster throughout season one: Black Adam (DC comics), Stripe (Gremlins), and Rick Sanchez and Morty Smith (Rick and Morty).

Morty is coming first on August 23. The others will arrive in the coming months as season one plays out.

MultiVersus is a free-to-play platform fighter, similar to Super Smash Bros. It features 2v2 team-based battles with characters across the WB universe and beyond, such as DC, Looney Tunes, and Game of Thrones.

MultiVersus is available as an open beta on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. It’s rated T for Teen.
